My Home Place

Wow!! This is my home place today. When I grew up there from 1953 the year I was born, until I left for college in 1971, it was painted white with old windows with multiple frames, and a huge window unit air conditioner. We were raised here on an acre or two in a small village, population 1000, where my Father served 2 terms as Mayor, and the Southern Baptist Church boasted 200 in attendance. The Lake itself was one block away and included a beach, swings, a clubhouse and park. Who would have thought we could have lived such a sheltered life just 13 miles outside of A major metropolitan area. !!

Your house was beautiful. I also grew up there. Right down the road on Hemlock. You probably knew my mom, aunts and uncles "The Bakers" . I miss this little town.
