My Father

 So what was the most fun I had as a teen with my Father? After Sunday night church the remnant of the choir would come to our house and sing gospel songs around the piano . I was the piano player. My Father taught me these old hymns. Of course he could not read music or play the piano, but his father taught him by rote and he did the same with me. " Just a Little talk with Jesus" was a favorite. I remember how we did this not just on Father's Day but most Sunday nights. Piano playing, singing , hymns, my father leading, and the church choir, plus food and drink made by my mother who also sang Country alto. She didn't read music either. Those were some of the most fun times I had with my Dad. He died in 2000 at the age of 82..
